Hello, everybody. Welcome all of you to this course. Though this subject seems new to you, it really is a part of your language learning at the very first stage. You may not realize that language and culture go side by side; you cannot learn any particular language without learning about the culture. In this course, you will learn how language and culture are related, how culture has influence on people's viewpoints, values, and interpretation, and so on. I hope after finishing this course, you all will be well aware of cultural diversity in order to better communicate with people from different backgrounds.
