How many way to send assingment?

I understand that we are able to send our assingments in 2 ways are attachment(type in a box) and attach a file( only word2003). But someone told me that you must send your assingments only attach a file( Doc). I cannot type my answer in a box. Please clear my question. Thank you kha.
P.S.....I do not know how to change my docx to doc.

I means in two ways 1 WYSIWIG. 2 attach file kha. Or only attach a file kha.

Both ways are fine, but it is more convenient to submit your work as an attached file in Word 2003 (.doc). The good thing is that you can work offline first. After that you can submit it on the system. When saving the file, you just choose 'Word 2003' as your file type. You may need to scroll down to find this file type.
