ผมรบกวนถามเกี่ยวกับการใช้คำ responsibility (noun) ในเอกสาร Module 3 หน้า 36 ข้อที่ 13 เฉลยว่า
I work in a Planning Division and my responsibility is monitoring and evaluation. เราทำไมไม่ใช้ ...responsibilities are.... เนื่องจากมีหน้าที่ 2 อย่าง คือ monitoring and evaluation

กรณีมีแยกข้อมูลเป็น 2 รายการ เราควรใช้รูปพหูพจน์เป็น My responsibilities are (หรือ include) ... and .... ได้อย่างที่นศ.เข้าใจค่ะ แต่บางครั้ง อาจมองคำว่า responsibilty เป็น generic term คือคำนามสามัญทั่วไปและข้อมูลที่ตามมา อาจมองว่าเป็นส่วนเดียวกันหรือเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของกันและกัน ก็อาจใช้เป็นรูปเอกพจน์ได้ค่ะ

To add to Ajarn Jaraswat's explanation, I want to clarify a point or two and provide a couple examples.

1) Responsibility can go with countable and uncountable nouns.
2) The plural form can be either responsibility (singular) or responsibilities (plural) in most cases. The point to remember here is subject-verb agreement.
*Reponsiblity (singular noun) + is (singular verb)
*Responsibilities (plural noun) + are (plural verb)

EXAMPLES:
1) Everyone in my family has household chores to do. My responsibilities are setting the dinner table and vacuuming the bedrooms. (most logical: two responsibilities=plural form)

2) My responsibility is watching the children on the playground and making sure none of them gets hurt. (two responsibilities closely related, so the singular form is acceptable)
